Job Deck · Last updated: 2026-05-18 · Effective: 2026-05-18

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Job Deck mobile app or web dashboard (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Job Deck is an AI-assisted business management tool for Australian sole-trader tradespeople. It helps you:

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, an Australian resident or business, and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service.

4. Your account

You are responsible for:

5. AI-generated content disclaimer

Important: Job Deck uses artificial intelligence to assist with document generation, voice transcription, and quote extraction. AI output may contain errors, omissions, or hallucinations. You must review and verify every quote, invoice, variation, and message before sending it to a customer. Job Deck is a tool that assists with document generation and does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or legal compliance of any output.

6. Templates and legal documents

The Service provides templates for quotes, invoices, terms and conditions, variation orders, and other business documents. These templates are general-purpose, engineering-grade defaults. You acknowledge that:

7. Tax compliance

Job Deck generates documents intended to satisfy the Australian Taxation Office's ("ATO") requirements for tax invoices, including the seven essential elements set out in section 29-70 of the GST Act. However:

8. Deposit caps and consumer protection

The Service calculates state-specific deposit limits (WA 6.5%, NSW 10%, QLD 5%, default 30%) based on publicly available statute. These caps are advisory. You must independently verify the current statutory cap applicable to your specific trade and jurisdiction. Job Deck is not liable for amounts requested in excess of statutory limits.

9. Payment details and anti-tampering

Job Deck generates a SHA-256 "Payment Fingerprint" footer on every invoice PDF to help detect tampered bank account numbers, PayID strings, or payment links. This is a defence-in-depth feature; it does not replace your responsibility to verify payment receipts with customers via a separate channel for large transactions.

10. Delivery (email / SMS / WhatsApp)

When you authorise Job Deck to send a quote, invoice, or receipt:

11. Pricing and payment

Job Deck is free in this launch release. Every feature is included, and the app contains no subscriptions or in-app purchases. If paid plans are introduced in a future update, they will be offered through the relevant app store's in-app purchase system, the price and billing period will be shown before any purchase, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

13. Intellectual property

The Service (software, design, branding, templates) is owned by us and licensed to you for use under these Terms. Content you create using the Service (your quotes, invoices, customer records, photos) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, process, and back up your content for the purpose of providing the Service.

14. Service availability and termination

15. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to:

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses (lost profits, lost goodwill, lost customers) arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Queensland, unless required otherwise by the Australian Consumer Law.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance via the app and email. Continued use of the Service after the change date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
